“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”  Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8

  • Hometown Candlelight Christmas

Our first community event was held December 23, 2018 in the Harvest subdivision, near IH35W and FM 407. For the past three years, this is becoming a new favorite family tradition for many in our community!

Beginning at sunset, as the Harvest Community Christmas Tree lights up and reflects in the lake, our praise band begins playing some classic Christmas carols. People from many different communities gathered with their families hear the reading of the first Christmas story. We enjoy one another’s company along with hot chocolate and cookies. What a wonderful way to prepare for Christmas Eve and the birthday of Christ!

  • Christ's Haven for Children

In August 2021, The Grove Church committed to providing needed items, wish list things and serving at Christ's Haven For Children (a local Christian group of foster homes for children). We started with their Fall Clean Up Day in August. In September, we provided gift cards for the individual children to purchase their own school supplies. Every month there is a new challenge for our congregation.

Due to our contributions to their organization in 2021, Christ Haven presented us with an award for Outstanding Church Partnership in January 2022. We plan to continue serving them through monthly collections of supplies and work days.
