The Grove Church began as a church plant in 2018 with a small group of families sold on the idea of creating a church in the Northlake and Argyle area.

We started by meeting in small groups and listening to God about who He is calling us to be. We started Praise gatherings in the summer of 2019 and met once a month over that summer. In the Fall of 2019, we continued to meet in small groups and gather together a few times a month for Prayer and Praise at Hilltop Storage Solutions in Northlake.

In January of 2020 we began worshipping together on a weekly basis at Marty B’s in their upper room. More families joined us on our journey and we looked toward the future with excitement. Then COVID hit. Like every other church, The Grove had to get creative. We began livestreaming our worship services on Facebook and then posting the videos on YouTube. Yet even with the nontraditional setting, God continued to bless us and we kept growing.

All our plans for our first Easter service had to change, but we still gathered in the parking lot to pray (from the safety of our cars) and have drive-through Communion.

Starting in July 2020 we slowly started gathering together in-person, making sure to follow all the safety regulations provided by the CDC and the direction of Marty, the owner of Marty B’s. We have continued to livestream our services for those who don’t feel comfortable meeting face to face.

In January 2021, we installed Pastor Ben Scheck as our long-term pastor to work alongside Pastor Travis until Pastor Travis leaves to plant another church.

We are continuing to grow and are looking forward to building on our new property in the area, providing space for our church as well as space for the larger community around us. You will see us around town serving our neighbors and partnering with other nonprofits in a desire to neighbor well and be an impact in our communities. We would love to have you join us on this journey.
